This piece was featured in Mainely Gallery and Studio’s “Evolution” show in May 2023.

With this piece I wanted to explore the beauty in finding balance and wisdom in nature. So much of humanity’s expansion over the last few centuries has been working against the natural world. We attempt to tame and damper it, not seeing the life it offers to us. I think if humankind ever wishes to evolve, the answer doesn’t lie in grand machines and material profits. We must look to the resilient and patient earth around us, and those who have listened to it for generations. The earth can live beyond us, but we cannot live without the earth.
